Workplace Safety Audits and Risk Assessments

An independent look at how safe your workplace is, with a written risk assessment and a list of fixes in order of priority.

Do you know where the biggest safety risks in your workplace are, and what needs to be done about them? Most organisations know their problem areas informally. Few have them written down in a form that an inspector, a client or an insurer would accept.

We combine site observation, conversations with staff and a review of your safety records to give you a documented picture of your risks and a clear list of what to fix first. We assess resorts, commercial premises, construction sites, workshops, utilities and technical facilities.

Who It Is for

  • Organisations that have never carried out a formal risk assessment, or need to review an old one
  • Employers preparing for an inspection, a client audit or an internal review
  • Organisations that want to know whether their current controls work
  • Operations with several sites, or with staff and contractors in higher-risk work

What We Assess

  • Hazards in each work area and task, routine and non-routine
  • How likely and how serious harm would be, and whether existing controls are adequate
  • Machinery, tools, electrical hazards and maintenance work
  • Occupational health risks such as exposure, manual handling and ergonomics
  • Safety records: risk assessments, incident reports, training records, inspection logs and permits
  • Contractors, and work where more than one employer shares a site
  • Emergency procedures, evacuation, signage and first aid

How It Works

  1. We agree the scope after discussing your activities, workforce and concerns.
  2. We visit the site, observe the work, talk to staff and review documents.
  3. We rate each risk using an agreed method and flag what needs urgent attention.
  4. We present the findings to management with practical recommendations.

What You Receive

  • A risk register of hazards, existing controls and risk ratings
  • An assessment report of findings and gaps
  • A corrective action plan ranked by risk, with suggested owners and target dates
  • A presentation of the main findings to management
  • If agreed, a follow-up review after three or six months to check progress

We can then track progress with you, for example the share of actions closed on time and the number of high-risk findings still open.

An audit helps you manage risk. On its own it does not guarantee legal compliance, and it does not replace any inspection, approval or certification required by the authorities.

Common Questions

Is this the same as an ISO 45001 gap analysis?

No. A safety audit looks at the hazards and controls in your workplace. A gap analysis compares your management system with the clauses of the standard. Many organisations start with the audit and move on to ISO 45001 once the basics are in place.

Can you audit resorts and outer-island sites?

Yes. We plan visits around transfers and seaplane schedules and can cover several islands in one trip.
