Training Retreats
Training Retreats in the Maldives
For international organisations: a training programme and a stay at an island resort, planned and run end to end and documented for your training budget.

Some training works better away from the office. For organisations based outside the Maldives, we plan and run complete training retreats at island resorts: the programme, the people who deliver it, and everything that happens around it.
No two retreats are the same. We start with what you want your team to be able to do when they get home, then design the sessions, choose the resort and plan each day around that.
What We Arrange
- A training programme designed with you, delivered by our facilitators and by specialist trainers we bring in for your subject
- Resort selection to suit your group size, budget and the kind of work you have planned
- Meeting rooms, equipment and printed materials
- Arrival support at Velana International Airport and transfers to the resort by speedboat, seaplane or domestic flight
- Accommodation and meals, including dietary requirements
- Team activities fitted around the sessions, such as snorkelling, sandbank dinners or a day on a local island
- A written summary and action plan after the retreat
How It Works
- You tell us about your team, what you want to achieve, and your preferred dates and budget.
- We send a proposed programme, two or three resort options and an itemised quote.
- Once you confirm, we handle bookings, logistics and preparation, with one person as your contact throughout.
- A member of our team is with your group for the whole retreat.
- Within two weeks of the retreat you receive a report and the agreed next steps.
Fits Within Your Training Budget
Every retreat is a working programme with a full training component, and we document it the way professional development is normally documented. Each package includes:
- A structured agenda with learning outcomes and the number of training hours
- The trainers' and facilitators' credentials
- Attendance records and a certificate for each participant
- One all-inclusive package price on a single invoice, with a detailed breakdown whenever your finance team needs one
That gives your HR and finance teams the records they usually ask for when training is paid from a professional development budget.
Typical Programmes
- Leadership and management development
- Strategy and annual planning
- Team building for new or merged teams
- Board and governance sessions
- Specialist subjects your organisation needs, with a facilitator we source for you
Tell us what you have in mind and we will come back with a first outline. There is no charge for the first conversation.
Common Questions
Can we bring our own trainers?
Yes. Some organisations bring their own facilitators and ask us to handle everything else. We can provide as much or as little of the programme as you need.
How far ahead should we plan?
Two to three months gives the widest choice of resorts and flights, especially from December to April, the busiest season. Shorter notice is often possible, so ask us.
Do you book international flights?
We look after everything from arrival at Velana International Airport onwards. International flights are usually booked by your organisation or its travel agent, and we coordinate transfers around your arrival times.
Can the retreat be paid for from our training budget?
Many organisations fund retreats this way. We provide a structured agenda with learning outcomes and training hours, certificates of attendance, and one all-inclusive invoice for the package, with a full breakdown available on request. Your finance team or adviser can confirm how your organisation treats the costs.
What does a retreat cost?
It depends on group size, resort, length of stay and the programme. After a first conversation we send an itemised quote, so you can see where the money goes.
