Mentora was set up to close a gap. Organisations in the Maldives need specialist training and advice, and too often the only options have been to send staff abroad or fly consultants in. We bring that expertise here, combining local knowledge, a network of specialists and international partnerships around what each client needs.

Our leadership team has held senior management, executive and board positions, and brings more than seventy years of combined experience in human resource management, strategic management, organisational development and corporate governance. Much of it comes from the Maldives' state-owned sector, which gives us a close understanding of how large Maldivian institutions are run, governed and staffed.

Our main strength is developing people and the organisations they work in. We find competency gaps, develop leaders, build professional skills and plan training that serves the organisation's goals. The work ranges from corporate training and executive development to outsourced HR development and advice on structure, governance and systems. In every case the aim is better performance at work.

How We Work

Good training starts with understanding what an organisation needs, and it should end with a visible change in how people work. Alongside our core team, we work with a network of associate trainers, subject specialists and international consultants, and put together the right team for each assignment. We check every trainer and specialist on their qualifications, experience, subject knowledge and references before we use them.

Every in-house programme starts with a training needs analysis and agreed learning objectives. We collect participant feedback after every session and aim for a satisfaction rating of at least 90%. For key programmes we go back after 90 days to see whether people are using what they learned, and where more work is needed.

Our International Partner

Mentora is the Maldivian representative of an international firm that specialises in ISO management systems consultancy and occupational safety and health training. Through this partnership we offer consultancy, certificate training and technical support for ISO 45001 and other ISO standards. The partner's qualified trainers deliver the certificate courses under the relevant accreditation arrangements, and its consultants work alongside us on ISO management system projects.

The partnership gives Maldivian organisations access to international standards and specialist knowledge, with a local team that understands how they work.
