Leadership and Management Development
Programmes for new supervisors, middle managers and senior leaders, run in-house over several months so that what people learn is tried at work.

Many managers are promoted because they were good at their previous job, then left to work out on their own how to manage people. The cost shows up later, in staff turnover, grievances, and teams that wait to be told what to do.
A two-day workshop rarely changes that. Our leadership programmes run over several months, so participants can try what they learn at work and bring the results back to the group.
Programme Levels
- First-line supervisors: giving instructions and feedback, handling conflict, and following HR procedures correctly
- Middle managers: planning, delegation, performance conversations and managing a budget
- Senior leaders: strategy, decision-making, working with a board and leading change
How a Programme Runs
Each programme starts with interviews with the participants' own managers, so that the content deals with the problems your organisation has. Workshops are spaced a few weeks apart, with a short assignment between each one: holding a difficult conversation, delegating a task that the manager would normally keep, or presenting a proposal to their own director.
Between workshops, participants can have individual coaching sessions. At the end we report to you on attendance, assessment results and what participants' managers say has changed.
Programmes for State-Owned Enterprises and Government
Large organisations often need to prepare successors for senior roles. We can run a programme for a selected group of high-potential managers, linked to a succession plan, and include sessions with members of your board or senior leadership.
Common Questions
How long does a programme last?
Most programmes run over three to six months, with a one- or two-day workshop each month and work assignments in between.
Can the programme be held at a resort?
Yes. Some organisations hold the opening or closing workshop as a residential session at a resort, which gives the group time together away from daily work.
