Health and Safety Awareness Training

Safety awareness training built around your own workplace, hazards and staff, from toolbox talks to programmes for supervisors.

Ask about this service

A first aid trainee practising chest compressions on a manikin

A housekeeper, a construction worker, a utility technician and an office worker face different hazards. Training that treats them all the same does little for any of them.

We build each programme around your operations, your hazards and the people being trained, so that staff learn to recognise the risks they actually face and how to work safely. Programmes run from frontline staff and technical teams to supervisors and operations managers.

Topics We Can Cover

  • Recognising hazards and risks
  • Safe work procedures for specific jobs and tasks
  • Choosing, using and looking after personal protective equipment
  • Manual handling and ergonomics
  • Machinery, tools and equipment
  • Preventing slips, trips and falls
  • Emergency procedures and evacuation
  • Reporting incidents and near misses
  • Occupational health risks
  • Safety responsibilities of supervisors

Examples by Industry

  • Resorts and hospitality: housekeeping, kitchens, chemicals, manual handling and maintenance work
  • Construction and engineering: work at height, tools and equipment, material handling and site rules
  • Utilities and technical operations: electrical hazards, maintenance and emergency response
  • Manufacturing and workshops: machinery, moving materials and housekeeping
  • Transport and logistics: journeys and vehicles, loading and unloading
  • Offices: ergonomics, workstation set-up, electrical safety and emergencies
  • Healthcare and services: exposure risks, safe handling and incident reporting

We agree the final content with you so it covers your most important risks.

How We Measure Results

Depending on the programme, we compare assessment scores before and after training, check competence through practical exercises, review participant feedback, and follow up at work to see whether safe practices are being used. Where you have baseline data, we can also track measures such as hazard reports and corrective actions closed. The measures are agreed with you at the start.

Formats

  • Short awareness sessions
  • Toolbox talks
  • Practical workshops on specific hazards
  • Sessions for supervisors and team leaders
  • Longer workplace safety programmes

Training runs at your premises or another venue, in English or Dhivehi, with repeat sessions across shifts so operations do not stop.
